Licensing
How licensing works
PSARA is the Private Security Agencies (Regulation) Act, 2005. Under it each state issues its own licences to private security agencies, and a licence for one state does not cover a site in another. The licence covering your site, and the agency that holds it, are confirmed in writing before signature — ours where we hold one, a PSARA-licensed partner agency’s where we do not.
PSARA governs security services. Facility management and payroll outsourcing are not licence-gated, and are contracted through a group company.

If your district is not yet listed as a published page, tell us where the site is. We will confirm cover before we quote — under our own PSARA licence where we hold one, and through a PSARA-licensed partner agency where we do not.

Common questions
What is PSARA?
PSARA is the Private Security Agencies (Regulation) Act, 2005. Under it each state issues its own licences to private security agencies, and a licence for one state does not cover a site in another. Before you sign, we confirm in writing the licence covering your site and the agency that holds it.
Is a PSARA licence from one state valid in another?
No. Each state’s Controlling Authority issues its own PSARA licences, so a licence for one state does not permit deployment in another. An agency deploying in several states needs a valid licence in each, and we confirm in writing, before you sign, which licence covers your site and which agency holds it.
How do I check a PSARA licence?
Ask for the licence itself, check that it names the state your site is in, and check the expiry date. Each state’s Controlling Authority issues its own PSARA licences, so a licence for one state does not permit deployment in another. Then confirm it with the issuing authority or on the PSARA portal.
Do facility management and payroll services need a PSARA licence?
No. PSARA regulates private security agencies; facility management and payroll services sit outside it, and we contract both through a group company. The security services need one: guarding, close protection, K9, event and residential security, and any armed escort. For escorted last-mile delivery, we confirm the licence position in writing.
