In Mizoram most premises sit on ridges, and the road between them sets the shift. Aizawl concentrates the secretariat and directorates, bank branches, the Bara Bazar and Millennium Centre retail belt, university and hospital campuses and the estate sheds at Zuangtui, with the Sairang terminus and its goods handling on the capital's edge. Kolasib runs along the road and rail corridor from Assam, with the Vairengte gateway, the Bairabi goods yard, ginger and food-processing sheds, and a hydro station's dam and switchyard. Mamit holds the airport landside at Lengpui and the EPIP plots at Lengte, with plantation stores and oil palm collection points across the low western hills.

To the east and south, relief is measured in hours on hill roads. Champhai's customs-station warehousing at Zokhawthar, its trading rows and the winery tanks and cold stores at Hnahlan sit at the end of one long road back to Aizawl, so shift relief and cash movement are planned with care. Lunglei, the administrative and education centre of the south, adds the hospital and college campus at Serkawn, government offices spread across a municipal town, and furniture and saw-milling sheds at Pukpui. Lawngtlai and Siaha bring autonomous district council complexes, district offices, banks and plantation collection sheds, with contractor camps along the Kaladan road to Zorinpui.

Saitual, Khawzawl and Hnahthial are institutional districts: new headquarters complexes, circle offices, banks, schools and health buildings reached by single hill roads. Serchhip pairs government offices and a district hospital with hospitality premises, weaving units and yarn stores at Thenzawl. Across all of them, posts are planned around fair-weather roads and long relief journeys rather than a single-shift roster.
