What is on the ground in Meghalaya
Meghalaya's premises are spread thin across the hills, and the roads write most of the brief. In Ri Bhoi, the Export Promotion Industrial Park at Byrnihat, the airport at Umroi and the truck parks and weighbridges on the Guwahati-Shillong highway sit in a narrow corridor against the Assam border. Further east, the cement works, captive limestone quarries and heavy-vehicle flow of the Lumshnong-Khliehriat belt in East Jaintia Hills run three-shift rosters across dispersed quarry faces and blasting zones.
Shillong carries a broad premises base: secretariat and directorate buildings, a tertiary hospital, national institutes and a university, the cash-heavy Iewduh market and hotels on the Sohra and Mawsynram routes, all on steep, fog-bound roads that govern relief times. Jowai and the Dawki crossing in West Jaintia Hills bring border-freight and market work, with truck queues, stone depots and seasonal traffic peaks that drive the rostering. Tura, in West Garo Hills, adds two university campuses with student residences, a district hospital, a municipal market and plains-belt warehouses at Phulbari and Tikrikilla.
Across the rest of the Garo and western Khasi hills the work is dispersed. The railhead and goods shed at Mendipathar sit where thin roads and long distances between posts make relief the constraint, the guest houses and trail heads around Balpakram and Siju lie on single-lane approaches the monsoon can close, and the border-haat traffic at Mahendraganj runs on plains roads where a post is far from backup. In West Khasi Hills and Eastern West Khasi Hills, offices, colleges, quarry sites and ridge-line telecom masts lie far apart, and travel time rather than headcount shapes how supervision and relief are planned.

Whose licence covers your site in Meghalaya
PSARA is the Private Security Agencies (Regulation) Act, 2005. Under it each state issues its own licences to private security agencies, and a licence for one state does not cover a site in another. The one that matters is the licence covering Meghalaya. We confirm in writing, before you sign, which licence covers your site and which agency holds it.

Common questions about a security company in Meghalaya
Which PSARA licence covers a security guard site in Meghalaya?
Each state issues its own PSARA licence, so only a licence issued for Meghalaya covers a site in Meghalaya. Before you sign, we put in writing the licence that covers your site there, ours or a PSARA-licensed partner agency’s, and the agency that holds it.
How can I check that a security agency deposits PF and ESI for its guards?
Ask for the monthly PF and ESI challans for the officers on your site, not a registration certificate. Premier Shield is a registered employer under the EPF and ESI Acts and provides the monthly challans on request; where a PSARA-licensed partner agency’s officers are on your site, you receive that agency’s challans.
How long does it take to deploy security guards in Meghalaya?
Mobilisation is 7 days from a signed contract and replacement after attrition is 48 hours. Both are company standards, to which conditions apply, and your agreement sets them for your site. Armed posts and K9 teams take longer, and we give you a dated plan rather than a promise.
What you can hold us to in Meghalaya
Before you sign, we confirm in writing the PSARA licence covering your site and the agency that holds it. Supervision is 1:10 at each site as a company standard, and the service agreement for your site sets the figures. Every officer deploys with an identity card issued against a verified antecedent file. We also provide the monthly Provident Fund and ESI challans for the officers on your site on request.
