PSARA is the Private Security Agencies (Regulation) Act, 2005.

Under it each state issues its own licences to private security agencies, and a licence for one state does not cover a site in another. Premier Shield is PSARA licensed, and we confirm the licence covering your site in writing before signature.

We hold the licence documents and the PSARA portal records behind this, and provide the licence covering your site, in writing, to clients and to buyers who have shortlisted us.

Where we do not hold a licence of our own, a PSARA-licensed partner agency delivers the guarding. Either way, we confirm in writing, before signature, the licence covering your site and the agency that holds it, and we will not present a partner’s officers as our own employees.

    Quality management

    Certificate E2024049867, issued by Royal Assessments Pvt. Ltd. on 23 April 2024. Scope: security manpower supply, housekeeping, facility management and manpower outsourcing services. The certificate’s stated term runs to 22 April 2027; its validity is subject to annual surveillance audits.

  • ISO/IEC 27001:2022

    Information security management

    Certificate IN/75826827/8625, issued by ICV Assessments Pvt. Ltd. on 31 July 2026. Scope: security and facility management services and solutions, cash logistics, verification, international due diligence investigations and background verification. The certificate’s stated term runs to 30 July 2029; its validity is subject to annual surveillance audits.

Our officers

Training and employment

Officers new to the industry complete the 160 hours of training prescribed under the Private Security Agencies Central Model Rules, 2020 — 100 hours in the classroom and 60 in the field — before first deployment; the rules set a 56-hour course for ex-servicemen and former police.

Premier Shield is a registered employer under the EPF and ESI Acts, and the monthly PF and ESI challans for our officers on your site are provided on request.

NISSMAT, a think-tank and training institute in the same group, was established in 1990 in New Delhi. It began with in-campus courses for guards, head guards and supervisors, and today runs wider industry training for organisations and individuals and publishes its sessions openly. Credentials and compliance: questions buyers ask

How do I verify a PSARA licence?

Ask for the licence itself, check that it names the state your site is in, and check the expiry date. Each state’s Controlling Authority issues its own PSARA licences, so a licence for one state does not permit deployment in another. Then confirm it with the issuing authority or on the PSARA portal.

How do I know you pay your officers properly?

Ask for the monthly Provident Fund and ESI challans for our officers on your site, which we provide on request. Premier Shield is a registered employer under the EPF and ESI Acts, and a challan shows the contributions actually deposited, which a registration certificate cannot.

What certifications should a security agency hold?

A current PSARA licence for every state it deploys in is the minimum, and it is a legal requirement rather than a credential. Management system certificates such as ISO 9001 are worth having only if the certificate number, the scope and the current status check out with the body that issued them.

Is Premier Shield the same company as Premier Security Services?

Yes. The company was incorporated on 6 December 1977 as Premier Security Services Private Limited and renamed Premier Shield Private Limited on 13 March 2006. Its CIN is U74899DL1977PTC008804.
