A supervisor facing his detail of officers, drawn up in line

Security guard services are trained, supervised security officers supplied to a site: unarmed officers for access control, visitor management and patrols, and armed officers where the arms licensing for the post is in place. Premier Shield deploys them under the PSARA licence covering the site, with mobilisation, replacement and supervision terms written into the agreement.

What we deploy

Security guard services: officers for the posts you need covered.

Security guard services for plants, offices, hospitals, campuses and bank branches.

Residential society security is part of our manned guarding: gate and perimeter cover for societies and townships. CCTV monitoring is a separate service you can take alongside guarding.

Unarmed security officers

Access control, visitor management, patrols, incident reporting and evacuation support.

Armed security officers

Where the arms licensing for the post is in place.

Site supervisors

One for every ten guards at a site†.

Every officer deploys with an identity card issued against a verified antecedent file. Every new officer signs an acknowledgement of the company’s standards and code of conduct, including client confidentiality, before first posting†.

Have an agency? We’ll run the seven checks

How we work

How a deployment runs

  1. Licence check

We confirm in writing whose PSARA licence covers the site.

  2. Post plan

Posts, shifts and duties for the site, set out in writing.

  3. Mobilisation

Deployment time fixed in the contract. Every new deployment starts from a written transition plan.

  4. Supervision

Supervisor visits on a contracted schedule. We log each visit, with site, officer, time and a fixed checklist.

The Premierr Standard

Seven checks, each one in writing.

Want your current agency checked against all seven?

Send us what they have given you

What you have in writing
  1. Why it matters

Each state issues its own PSARA licence. Before you sign, we confirm in writing the licence covering your site, and the agency that holds it.

  2. Why it matters

Not a certificate of registration, which any agency can produce, but the monthly challan, showing contributions actually deposited for the officers deployed at your premises.

  3. Why it matters

How soon officers are in place after signing, and how soon we fill a vacancy when an officer leaves.

  4. Why it matters

Every agency will quote a supervisor-to-guard ratio in a meeting; what counts is the agreement.

  5. Why it matters

What we report to you and how, and who you call at each level when something goes wrong: supervisor, area manager, business head.

  6. Why it matters

It is fair to ask any agency how it evidences verification for each officer, and what happens to an officer whose verification has not come back.

  7. Why it matters

Each of our ISO management-system certificates names its issuing body and scope, so you can check it with the issuer rather than with us.

  8. Tick each check your current or shortlisted agency has given you in writing.

Send us what they have given you

Guarding questions

What is the difference between armed and unarmed security guards?

An unarmed guard handles access control, visitor management, patrols and reporting. An armed post is subject to the arms licensing that applies to it, so armed posts take longer to mobilise. We confirm in writing what applies to your site.

How long does it take to deploy security guards?

Mobilisation is 7 days from a signed contract and replacement after attrition is 48 hours. Both are company standards, to which conditions apply, and your agreement sets them for your site. Armed posts and K9 teams take longer, and we give you a dated plan rather than a promise.

What supervisor-to-guard ratio do you commit to?

One site supervisor for every ten guards deployed at a site: a company standard, subject to site conditions, shift pattern, headcount and state law. Some states also set a ratio by rule; the contract states the ratio and supervisor visits for your site.

Whose licence will cover my site?

Each state issues its own PSARA licence, so a licence held in one state does not cover a site in another. Where we hold the licence for your state, we deploy under it. Where we do not, we confirm in writing, before signature, whether a PSARA-licensed partner agency can deliver, and which agency holds the licence.

Which services need a PSARA licence?

The security services do: guarding, close protection, K9, event and residential security, and any armed escort. Facility management and payroll outsourcing need no PSARA licence, and we contract them through a group company. For escorted last-mile delivery, we confirm the licence position in writing.

What training do your officers complete before deployment?

Officers new to the industry complete the 160 hours the PSARA rules prescribe — 100 in the classroom and 60 in the field — before first deployment; the rules set a 56-hour course for ex-servicemen and former police. Our induction syllabus covers fire response, medical emergencies and evacuation before first posting.

What should a security contract include before I sign it?

Mobilisation time, replacement time on attrition, the supervisor ratio, supervisor visit frequency, the attendance method, training hours completed before deployment, PF and ESI registration timing, police verification timing, and who issues post orders and when.
