Around Mumbai the guarding market is a belt, not a city. Thane's chemical estates at Wagle Estate, Dombivli and Ambernath, the Bhiwandi godown belt with its constant gate and loading-bay control, and the IT parks at Airoli and Mahape sit beside Mumbai Suburban's badge-controlled office towers, film studios and airport landside. To the south and north, Raigad's customs-controlled port estate at Nhava Sheva sits beside chemical belts at Taloja, Patalganga, Roha and Mahad which, with Palghar's Tarapur estate at Boisar, run hazardous-materials perimeters under statutory safety regimes. Mumbai and Pune add bank premises, corporate towers, IT campuses and auto plants where access control and visitor screening carry the job.

Inland, the manufacturing districts run on shifts. Waluj, Shendra and Chikalthana in Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar carry heavy contractor and goods-vehicle traffic at plant gates, Kolhapur's foundries at Shiroli, Gokul Shirgaon and Kagal run multiple shifts, and Jalna's steel re-rolling mills and dry port work round the clock. Chandrapur's collieries, power station and cement works, and the power and junction yards at Gondia and Bhusawal, need weighbridge and gate discipline across continuous operations.

Beyond the plants, the work follows harvests and pilgrim calendars. Turmeric and raisin yards at Sangli, soybean and pulse yards at Latur, cotton at Hinganghat and Yavatmal, and the gold and silver markets of Jalgaon and Khamgaon all hold stock of high value, and at Sangli for long periods. Shirdi, Pandharpur, Tuljapur, Shegaon and Nanded draw pilgrim volumes that call for queue control and crowd handling, event-shaped at Pandharpur and Tuljapur and sustained all year at Shirdi, Shegaon and Nanded.
