Security guard jobs and other roles
Security officer, unarmed
160 hours of training before first deployment for those new to the industry; the rules set a 56-hour course for ex-servicemen and former police.
Security officer, armed
requires eligibility under the Arms Act.
Personal security officer
close protection, selected from experienced officers.
Supervisor
up to ten officers on shift. Promoted from within wherever possible.
Site manager and above
client relationship, rostering, compliance. As a company standard, a new branch manager does not take independent charge of a branch until head office has signed off the induction.
Dog handler
trained with one dog, deployed as a pair.
Facility management staff
housekeeping, technical, reception, administration.
Training, and where it leads
Training in the group began in 1990, with NISSMAT’s in-campus courses for security guards, head guards and supervisors.
It is a route out of the gate.
Officer → supervisor → site manager → area manager is a real path here, walked by people who joined as guards.
What we ask
- Physical fitness appropriate to the role
- Willingness to complete police verification
- Aadhaar, bank account and educational documents
- For armed roles, Arms Act eligibility
- Punctuality, and turning up for your shift

Common questions
Does Premier Shield pay guards on time?
Wages are paid monthly, by bank transfer, and Premier Shield is a registered employer under the EPF and ESI Acts. Ask at interview how Provident Fund and ESI apply to the role you are offered.
What training does a new security officer receive?
The Private Security Agencies Central Model Rules, 2020 prescribe at least 160 hours of training for a new security guard before first deployment, and a condensed 56-hour course (40 classroom, 16 field) for ex-servicemen and former police.
Do you recruit ex-servicemen?
Yes. Service experience is genuinely useful in this work — but it is not a substitute for the statutory training, and we do not treat it as one.
