What is on the ground in Punjab

The farm year sets the clock for much of the security work in Punjab. Grain markets and procurement yards at Sangrur, Dhuri and Sunam fill and empty on a procurement calendar, Tarn Taran and Patti take heavy paddy arrivals into sheller godowns, and Abohar's kinnow packhouses and cold stores run hard from December to March. Cotton ginning yards in Mansa and Sri Muktsar Sahib and the cotton mandis of Bathinda, and sugar mills through the crushing season in Gurdaspur and Shahid Bhagat Singh Nagar, add their own peaks.

Industry comes in two forms. Ludhiana's hosiery, bicycle and fastener units and Jalandhar's sports-goods and leather sheds mean many premises rather than a few campuses, while Mandi Gobindgarh's re-rolling mills and induction furnaces run continuous shifts with scrap coming in and finished steel going out across the weighbridge. Larger sites sit in Bathinda's refinery and petrochemical complex, Rupnagar's thermal station and fertiliser unit, and the IT campuses and pharmaceutical units of Mohali, Dera Bassi and Lalru, each with contractor gates and night shifts.

Then there are the crowds. Footfall around Harmandir Sahib and Amritsar's walled-city bazaars, Hola Mohalla at Anandpur Sahib, the Jor Mela at Fatehgarh Sahib each December and the Maghi Mela at Muktsar each January all put very large temporary crowds into compact towns. Along the border in Firozpur, Fazilka and Gurdaspur, sites are far apart, approaches are controlled and night cover is the hard part, and Pathankot's hill edge adds slow relief movement, so supervision and relief are planned for distance. In the Doaba, NRI-owned houses in Hoshiarpur and Shahid Bhagat Singh Nagar stand empty for long stretches and need watching.

Whose licence covers your site in Punjab

PSARA is the Private Security Agencies (Regulation) Act, 2005. Under it each state issues its own licences to private security agencies, and a licence for one state does not cover a site in another. The one that matters is the licence covering Punjab. We confirm in writing, before you sign, which licence covers your site and which agency holds it.

Common questions about a security company in Punjab

Which PSARA licence covers a security guard site in Punjab?

Each state issues its own PSARA licence, so only a licence issued for Punjab covers a site in Punjab. Before you sign, we put in writing the licence that covers your site there, ours or a PSARA-licensed partner agency’s, and the agency that holds it.

How can I check that a security agency deposits PF and ESI for its guards?

Ask for the monthly PF and ESI challans for the officers on your site, not a registration certificate. Premier Shield is a registered employer under the EPF and ESI Acts and provides the monthly challans on request; where a PSARA-licensed partner agency’s officers are on your site, you receive that agency’s challans.

How long does it take to deploy security guards in Punjab?

Mobilisation is 7 days from a signed contract and replacement after attrition is 48 hours. Both are company standards, to which conditions apply, and your agreement sets them for your site. Armed posts and K9 teams take longer, and we give you a dated plan rather than a promise.

What you can hold us to in Punjab

Before you sign, we confirm in writing the PSARA licence covering your site and the agency that holds it. Supervision is 1:10 at each site as a company standard, and the service agreement for your site sets the figures. Every officer deploys with an identity card issued against a verified antecedent file. We also provide the monthly Provident Fund and ESI challans for the officers on your site on request.
