Much of Jharkhand's guarding work is about material in motion. Across the Jharia coalfield and the Bermo and Phusro belt, colliery and washery gates, coal sidings, weighbridges and blasting magazines are where pilferage control and gate discipline are won or lost. The pattern repeats with other cargo: iron ore at Noamundi, Gua, Kiriburu and Barajamda, bauxite trucked down the ghat road to the Lohardaga railhead, and the quarries and crusher yards of Pakur and Sahibganj, where weighment and gate records matter more than perimeter hardware. Coal projects around Tandwa, Barkagaon and Keredari and the opencast mine in Godda add contractor camps and continuous-shift gates on rural approach roads.

Manufacturing gathers at Adityapur and Gamharia, a dense estate of small and medium units supplying the plants across the river in Jamshedpur. Patrol routing and gate records across many separate perimeters on one campus are the hard part there, along with round-the-clock tanker and trailer movement. Bokaro adds a steel works perimeter with rail and road gates and the Balidih estate beside it, while Jamshedpur and Ranchi bring plant gates, hospitals, campuses, and secretariat and court premises.

Elsewhere, demand follows the calendar or the map. Baba Baidyanath Dham at Deoghar and Basukinath at Jarmundi swell through Shravan, and Madhuban draws pilgrims to Parasnath hill all year, so approach roads, dharamshalas and parking grounds need surge cover sized to the crowd rather than the town. In Gumla, Simdega, Khunti and Garhwa the work is many dispersed postings at bank branches, godowns, hospitals and telecom towers, and relief and supervision travel are planned before the roster is set.
