The Premierr Standard · Choosing a security agency
Check us first.
Then ask the same of the others.
Choosing a security agency: seven things we put in writing before you sign, from the PSARA licence for your site’s state to police verification, and fair to ask of any agency on your shortlist.

Choosing a security agency this way needs no consultant. Each check is a document an agency either has or does not have.
The Premierr Standard · Choosing a security agencyRun the checks
01 The licence for your state, not a licence
PSARA is the Private Security Agencies (Regulation) Act, 2005.
Why it matters
Under it each state issues its own licences to private security agencies, and a licence for one state does not cover a site in another. One issued in Delhi does not permit a deployment in Maharashtra. Before you sign, we confirm in writing the licence covering your site, and the agency that holds it.
02 Provident Fund and ESI challans for the guards on your site
Not a certificate of registration, which any agency can produce, but the monthly challan, showing contributions actually deposited for the officers deployed at your premises.
Why it matters
Premier Shield is a registered employer under the EPF and ESI Acts, and the monthly challans for the officers on your site are provided on request.
03 Mobilisation and replacement, in the agreement
How soon officers are in place after signing, and how soon we fill a vacancy when an officer leaves.
Why it matters
Both are company standards, and the service agreement for your site sets the figures.
04 The supervision ratio, written into the contract
Every agency will quote a supervisor-to-guard ratio in a meeting; what counts is the agreement.
Why it matters
Ours is 1:10 at each site as a company standard, and the service agreement for your site sets the figures.
05 Incident reporting and escalation, in writing
What we report to you and how, and who you call at each level when something goes wrong: supervisor, area manager, business head.
Why it matters
We write incident reporting and escalation into the contract.
06 Police verification, documented and dated
Every officer deploys with an identity card issued against a verified antecedent file.
Why it matters
It is fair to ask any agency how it evidences verification for each officer, and what happens to an officer whose verification has not come back.
07 Certificates you can verify with whoever issued them
Each of our ISO management-system certificates names its issuing body and scope, so you can check it with the issuer rather than with us.

Common questions
What should I check before hiring a security agency?
Seven documents, each in writing: the PSARA licence for your site’s state; the monthly PF and ESI challans for the guards on your site; mobilisation and replacement terms; the supervision ratio; incident reporting and escalation; dated police verification for each officer; and certificates you can verify with whoever issued them.
